Rain & Fire (Poem)

The fire tiptoed to the center of the town

And rested atop of a mountain of brown.

It blazed and danced, running through the trees

In a flurry of excitement, not once at ease.

The sky was sad

To see the city go mad

And shed such large tears

That the city came with fear.

The clouds united

The birds aflighted

And the fire continued to chase.

The tears went abuzz

And followed the fire, ‘cause

‘Twas it’s duty to let it out.
