Maira & Aairah Poem: For You, Maira (;

It never is the end of things

We never, ever leave each other’s side

Stay and stay and stay together

Like we’d ever leave each other.

Life would never have been the same

If you, Maira, didn’t see

That we were meant to be

BFF’s forever.

The beginning might have been a hazard

But we didn’t know the truth

That we should stay together

Than rather just fight and lose.

We hated each other as babies

And pulled at each other’s hair

Though that was just you

As I wanted us to feel the care.

Time past as we realized

That our parents were best friends

And more time past

For then we realized:
We were meant to last.

Our friendship twisted like a slide

And locked like a door

Then slowly we realized

There was no more.

All we had to do

Was to trust, not to lose

Because, if we did…

Our friendship would rise

And we would be known as:

The best of friends

The End
